1952 staff photograph

Postby Fred Martin » Mon Dec 13, 2010 4:31 pm

The photograph on the front the recent Morgan Matters gave me a strange feeling. Although I didn't start secondary school untill 1955 I recognise most of them. But they were so old at the time and now they look so young! How can that be?

Oh, I agree, Fred! Some of them were probably only in their 30s but they looked ancient to us. How your perceptions change!

Fred, welcome to the forum! You gave the game away Some of our posters haven't received their Morgan Matters yet!
I started primary in 1954, but was able to recognise some of the teachers. My Mum, b 1916 had Miss MacDougall as a teacher, as did my sister, Dorothy Brown b 1944! Miss MacD was still there when I was in the Annexe, late 1950s!
