You can drop hints like bricks but you can't make folks introduce themselves!

Yes, good idea, Dave, but I think the problem may lay with the questions asked in the profile. There nothing about when did you attend the Morgan? which House were you in? and so on. Maybe I`m wrong and Thelma will no doubt correct me if I am.

[color=darkblue]Well I'll introduce myself. '' I'm Ruth Mitchell (nee Milne) and was a pupil in the primary as well as secondary until I was 15. Owing to my father's promotion I had to leave and move to Peebles where I attended Peebles Secondary.

What an eye opener that was! We were spoilt for subjects at Morgan and our curriculum was far more extensive than Peebles. To be fair, Peebles was a much smaller school.

I lost quite a few of the subjects I was studying for my lowers at Peebles and finally I decided to leave - not just for academic reasons but mainly for personal reasons.

Now, all these years later, I've the job of being committee minute secretary this year. I will put the next General Meeting date on the relevant link and I understand Heather Penny (the real secretary) will be giving a list of dates for next year. Once I have them I'll post them.

Now you're all bored so I'll quit while I'm ahead ''

Thank you, thank you Ruth. May you be the guiding light that leads other new members to post a little biographical information.

I don't know about being a guiding light Dave :D

I was at Morgan from 1952 until 1962. My memory is awful but my pal in primary was Jennifer Cosgrove (her father had a couple of hairdresser shops). My pal from secondary was Sheila Clark and I'm still in touch with her today. Also I'm in touch with Dorothy Hopkins.

My sin was playing cello and Bella Darroch was just superb.

The teacher I most respected in all my years of schooling was Miss Mather (then head of the primary). I just adored the woman as she was the essence of fairness.

Don`t worry about your mmory being awful, your with pals who have the same problem. Jennifer Cosgrove had a older(?) brother Colin, I think? Is that correct, Dave? And Sheila Clark was a very good swimmer?

Colin Cosgrove is the person we have to thank for the technical bit of putting together the Cheesie Tapes and the Top of the Form CD after George Stout had done all the research.
