Euan joined the Forum back in December of 2008 but he has yet to post. So you are way ahead of him Ron.

Thanks for the welcome, Sandra. I will try to maintain strictly Scottish usage from now on ..... I gre up bi-dalectal, in Coupar Angus but the Scots has been eroded over the years.

Euan has been based in Australia since the 1970s and consults in public health management. He has worked all over the Pacific and Asia. At the moment, he and his wife are in Hanoi for a spell.

I remember Miss Stewart as a very encouraging teacher. She has a gentle, unthreatening way about her that I appreciated. All of my teachers at the Morgan were good except, perhaps for a Mr. Mink. He spoke with a very strong Russian accent and seemed to think we were all atomic scientists they way he went into match in such incomprehensible detail.

I agree with all the positive comments on Miss Stewart. Including the comments about not standing too close, as she did have a tendency to spray. She was one of my teachers and was a very nice person.

I well remember Mr Minc. He was my maths teacher in 2nd year. The only other maths teacher I can remember having (3rd year I think) was Curly Donald

Anna Mackie was a great maths teacher and had a great memory. I met her in town about 5 years after I left and she still remembered me by name!

Ian, I meet former pupils of 40 years ago in Stirling and still remember their names! One bounced up to me in a supermarket and said "Do you know who I am?" I gave the correct name and she then started to tell me about her life; I interrupted to say her mum had already told me that; she was completely dumfoonert. "Do you mean you remember my mum AS WELL??"

Maybe you were good at maths too Sandra? Just to keepon theme and not get wheeched by Big Sister - I am sure that Kipperfeet, alias Miss Stewart would be proud to know that her former pupils still remember her and have dedicated a whole chapter on our forum to her!
