Morgan FP scarf

Postby morganfp » Sat Feb 26, 2011 12:46 am

How many of you have or had a Morgan FP scarf? How many of you would buy one if MAFPA started to sell one?
I had one, c 1970, but it disappeared in one of my many moves around Scotland. Richard Young and Doris Bayne still have theirs, so we don't need a new design.
Richard, at the behest of the committee, is looking into the possibility of having it reinstated and has found a possible supplier. Well done, Richard.
Is it worth pursuing?

Don`t think I ever had an F.P. scarf as I never use scarfs. Not a bad idea though, although I think there is only a limited market out there for them.

I am afraid that the best I can do is that I still have my FP tie which is always admired when I wear it

I shall continue to pursue this at the next committee meeting. Again this evening while walking the dog,I was stopped by a complete stranger and asked if it was a Morgan F.P. scarf I was wearing. He told me he was not at Morgan but his brother was. As I reported at the last meeting of the committee, this has happened to me several times this winter. The previous occasion was at the 'Corn Kist' coffee/ farm shop when a gentleman approached me about my car. On seeing my scarf he again intimated his brother was at the Morgan, surname Keiller, and that he knew Alex, Goiuck.

He probably was referring to George Keiller who is now in Australia and contributes to the forum.. He and I were both in same year as Alex Gouick
