As Ronald George Smith, I attended the Morgan Academy from 1947 to 1960. My sister Vivian (two years my senior) and brother Euan (two years my junior) also attended the Morgan.

Doup - backside as in "If ye dinnae come in richt awa ye'll get yer doup skelpit!'; doupie - a cigarette end AS IN "He's the kin a wee bachle that picks up doupies aff the street an maks them intae handrollers!"

Dave fae Labrador and Newfoundland's post reminded me of my sister's favourite joke when she was about 8 (Thelma, it's not fit for the jokes thread!!)

Whit did the fish say when it was stan'in' at the fut o' the hull? A'm waitin' fur McGills tae open. (She aye followed it wi', "Dae ye ge' it?? McGills Ma gills" pulling at her cheeks)
