Anyone remember the make of car Jack Herd drove in the early 60's?

How about a Hillman Minx?
He certainly drove one when he was at Menzieshill H.S.

Hillman Minx, that was my second car and did I look after it!!!! Polished it religiously every weekend. Now I wait until my next door neighbour washes my car - as it lowers the tone of the neighbourhood. :D

My first car was a 2door Morris 1000. We went on holiday to Scarborough in it, thought it was a great journey and so economic, 48mpg. In retrospect, any speed over 60mph, you were rattled to bits. Great car though. 8) 8)

My first car was an 11-year old Singer Gazelle, very comfortable, front bench seat and gear stick on the steering column (whatever happened to that idea?)

My first car was a great big Rover. Leather seats, overdrive, wooden dashboard, spare tyre in the boot door, and very little brakes. Black paint with lots of chrome work to polish. Eventually scrapped for L 1.10/-.

One for you Pud. What was the car that Chic Ramsay drove when we were in 5th year?

That's an easy one to start 2008. It was an MG, and I think it was the TD.

Dave

Does that mean he had three cars or that the one car had three colours? Possibly two plus rust but I doubt it. I have a vague recollection of him buzzing about in a red open top.

I can always remember what happened 45 years ago, the problem is remembering what I did yesterday. Oh, now I remember, I was in the pub.
