Souvenir of 1908 Dinner - Old Morgan Boys. The Roll Call

Postby morganfp » Thu Feb 09, 2012 10:44 pm

Richard Young, our archivist, has been given a copy of this fantastic piece of memorabilia - see the Home page for the Cover. The section - Answer to your Numbers is mindboggling. The committee compiled what info they had about all the Old Boys. Only 27 out of 350 were unaccounted for, in 1908. With the help of www.fdca.org.uk we may be able to fill the gaps.
If you'd like a PDF of the booklet, contact me. If any of your ancestors were Old Morgan Boys, 1868 - 1889, please let me know.

I can't believe that such a unique piece of memorabilia has received such a negative response. OK, I'm a genealogy NUT, but the info here, shows how Morgan Hospital shaped the lives of our predecessors.

Dear Morgan FP, I'd be delighted to have a pdf copy of this document. And many thanks for including the Dundee Archivists' website - it contains a wealth of fascinating information.
As Ronald George Smith, I attended the Morgan Academy from 1947 to 1960. My sister Vivian (two years my senior) and brother Euan (two years my junior) also attended the Morgan.
