My elder son in Edinburgh had two ridge tiles blown off his roof. Now that is bad enough, but one hit the bumper of a Mercedes and the other went through another car's passenger door window. He obviously had no experience of such a happening so my telephone was ringing just after 8am, "Daaaaaaad....................!"
The wind was a little bit strong this morning so I hope we have seen the last of it for some time.

The weather has improved over the last 2/3 days. Today it is 6C and 87% Hum. The humidity has not been as low as this for some time. It has been in the mid 90's of late.
There is a difference in daylight these days.
Just trying to cheer you up, successfully I hope.

Aye, a bit cold and damp today. Fortunately, when out, I was in the car with the heating on. Went to Abernyte to try and get a Christmas present for my wife. Failed!

Abernyte can be a bit pricey Laird. What sort of thing were you looking for, or is it a case of you won't know until you see it?

Sorry Dave, I missed your reply to my previous post. I was actually looking for a silver trowel bookmark. There was one there the time before but it had obviously been bought by someone as it had disapeared. Abernyte is a fantastic place for a rummage although it can be a bit expensive.

At the moment, I am looking out the window watching the large snow flakes fall into the garden. Temperature 5C, cold!

My daughter, in Salisbury has been keekin' out her window for the past few hours, awaiting a delivery. It's arrived - SNOW! Hope she makes it down the narrow lane, tomorrow. Last week she got stuck on the lane, in the snow, and almost regretted being the owner of Dad's Saab convertible! Told her Mum's Chelsea tractor was a better buy!

After the usual cold start to the day, miraculously the sun started to shine brightly so that the leaves on the trees were twinkling like diamonds. It made me think that spring may be just round the corner. A mistake! After lunch a large black cloud took over the sky and before long it was snowing. So spring is still a bit away!

And after a pretty mediocre week, today was simply lovely. With 14C on the thermometer it was like a summer`s day in Scotland. What`s it like back home, Ken?

Not bad, Laird.
Around 8C with blue skies outside and the odd cloud.
Was 13c yesterday.
