Good morning Laird. Not on the forum yet, bit of a sleepy head this morning. Of course, it's Sunday, time for a lie in.

As I am as far away from Scotland as it is possible to be without being on the return trip - there has never been anyone else on line at the same time, Nuff said from New Zealand.

Hello Ian, how are things? Have you had a response from the St, A's Club in Shanghai?

My maiden name was Elmslie, and we lived in Victoria Road - sadly most of the Vic is long gone and I doubt if I would recognise the area these days. As I had an aunt in Sprighill I used to visit the area regularly, also another aunt in Glebe Street. Baxter Park tennis courts was a favourite haunt when I was young ... a long, long time ago.

Hi Roslin, have had a look at the "new" Victoria Road and can only see a very few bits left that I remember. I am still ever hopeful of a final trip home, but it gets less likely the older I get! Old age is not for wimps.

Margaret, are you the Margaret Walker on Rob McNeill's list of contacts? I think I mentioned some time ago that Bob and I were at Glebie together from 1950 to 1957.
